Eric Millegan's Struggle with Bipolar Disorder

Recently, Bones actor Eric Millegan (Zack Addy) posted made the decision to go public with his struggles with bipolar disorder. Jamie Frevele of The Huffington Post has compiled a nice story using Millegan's own words along with recollections from Hart Hansen, creator and executive-producer of Bones.

You can watch Eric's YouTube videos on bipolar disorder at his YouTube Channel. Even though organizations like NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) are working hard to eliminate the stigma of illnesses such as depression and bipolar disorder, it takes a huge amount of courage to come forward and share his story. Do you find this valuable?

Well yay for Eric..

I'm glad he's come out with his illness..

I think that he can help people see that their illness doesn't have to be the end of their dreams..

He's really a great actor and wonderful singer and I hope to see him on Bones again..

Bi-Polar disease is very,very, hard to live with. I admire his courage and strength in dealing with this. And bringing it into the open is even more admirable . I think it will definitely help other to cope with theirs. Do you find this valuable?

Exactly..

Bipolar Disorder runs in my family, although it skipped me I see what effect it can have on people's lives..

i agree with all of you. his courage is great- i applaud him and love the strength he has. Also his choice to come out as gay is highly applaudable too. overall eric's integrity is outstanding and i hope he succeeds in everything he does- which i have confidently can say he will Do you find this valuable?

I know!!

Eric's just all around amazing!!

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when I found out he's gay..

Now I can't marry him..

Lol.
