| | | Jack's Backstory | Jack, more often referred to as Hodgins (his last name)name), is an entomologist at the Jeffersonian. Hodgins is the sole heir the Cantilever Group. The Cantilever Group is known to supporter of the Jeffersonian to which Hodgins often appears uncomfortable with, as he wants to lead a normal life. Hodgins is a loyal friend to Zack Addy, who lived in a room above Hodgins garage until he was institutionalized. Hodgins began a relationship with Angela Montenegro, in which he proposed several times and was rejected. On the last proposal, which wasn’t meant to be a proposal Angela accepted and they decided to wed as soon as possible. Hodgins and Angela made it to the alter but their wedding day was cut short when it was discovered Angela was already married to a guy whose name she couldn't remember in a drunken Fiji ceremony while she was on vacation. Throughout season three, the couple struggled to discover the identity of the mystery husband and with the help of a personal investigator, discover the nickname of Angela's husband is "Beirambau" meaning 'Little Flute' in Brazillian. Soon after, Angela undergoes hypnosis to try to remember Beirambau's real name, but is instead faced with a larger than life wasp while being hypnotized. It turns out, that Angela was reading a book in which nuclear contamination makes wasps humungous, and she stuck the wedding photo as a book mark. After finding the book and the photo, Angela and Hodgins find "Angie + Grayson" scrawled on the back, and Angela finally remembers that her husband's full name is Grayson Barasa. Their new personal investigator finds Mr. Barasa in the Florida Keys, on the remote No-Name Key. She visits Mr. Barasa to see if he will agree t a divorce, which he does not, claiming he is still deeply in love with Angela. In the season 4 premier, Grayson comes to DC to try to get Angela to come back to him. When Angela kisses him (on purpose) and Hodgins finds out, he and Grayson exchange blows. But when Grayson finally agrees to sign the divorce papers, Cam sleeps with him and angers Angela, which causes Hodgins and her relationship to become very tenuous. Shortly after, Hodgins and Angela ended their relationship because Hodgins did not trust Angela and vice versa. Recently, Hodgins has started using a dating service “Date or Hate” and was connected back with Angela but neither of them appear to be ready to date each other again. Hodgins was buried alive by the Gravedigger with Bones. The Gravedigger had requested a sum of $8 million be transferred to save Hodgins and Bones, however, due to Hodgins extensive knowledge of the soil and Bones idea to send a cell phone message using the car battery they were saved without paying the random.
